The Niigata Philippine Society gets its own official logo.

The Niigata Philippine Society official logo

The logo of the Niigata Philippine Society is the symbol which will be used to represent this Society from now on, a Society composed of like-minded Filipino residents and Japanese citizens including foreign nationals of Niigata, Japan and who are registered members of this Society. This logo was designed by Stevenson Alloso, founding President of the Niigata Philippine Society.

The golden-yellow Philippine sun and stars represent the Filipinos residing in Niigata while the white Japanese red-crested ibis represents Niigata and its citizens.

Description and Symbolism

The official logo of the Niigata Philippine Society consists of a blue circle overlapped by the eight-rayed (8) golden-yellow Philippine sun and three (3) five-pointed golden-yellow stars which are derived from the Philippine national flag and a red circle overlapped by a hovering white Japanese red-crested ibis (toki) which is found on the left side of the logo and the words NIIGATA PHILIPPINE SOCIETY in silver color, written on top of each other from top to bottom, which is found on the right side.


The golden-yellow Philippine sun and stars represent the Filipinos residing in Niigata while the white Japanese red-crested ibis represents Niigata and its citizens. The blue and red circles overlapping each other symbolizing the bond between the peoples of the Philippines and Japan.
