Bangon Mindanao Charity Concert: A Celebration of Music, Unity, and Compassion
Niigata Prefecture
Sunday, July 12, 2026
The Niigata Philippine Society (NPS) would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported and participated in the “Bangon Mindanao Charity Concert,” held on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Tagami Exchange Hall in Niigata.
The concert was organized in response to the devastating earthquake and typhoon that struck Mindanao on June 8, 2026, leaving many communities facing tremendous challenges. Under the message “For the Philippines, let us do what we can,” the event brought together performers, volunteers, supporters, friends, and members of the community through the power of music and solidarity.
We are deeply grateful to all the talented artists and guest performers who generously shared their time and talents, including Julia & Kids, Nishikawa Band, MARS II, Hanamizuki no Kai, LISTON GIRLS, Sherie Kumakura, Bless, Abe, Julia, and our other guest performers.
Our sincere appreciation also goes to everyone who purchased charity tickets, made donations, helped with preparations, assisted during the concert, and simply came to show their support. Every contribution, whether big or small, helped make this meaningful effort possible.
Most importantly, we thank everyone who came together with one heart and one purpose—to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters in Mindanao during a difficult time.
All proceeds from the charity concert will be donated through Caritas Japan to support communities affected by the disaster.
The success of Bangon Mindanao reminds us that distance cannot separate people who care. Through friendship, music, compassion, and collective action, we can make a difference.
From all of us at the Niigata Philippine Society, maraming maraming salamat po! 🇵🇭❤️🇯🇵
