March 1 - 2, 2025. Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
In a historic move for the Niigata Philippine Society (NPS), the organization was formally accepted as a pioneer regular member of the Filipino Community Central Japan (FCCJ) during its first General Assembly held on March 1-2, 2025. The FCCJ, the umbrella organization for all Filipino community groups in the Chubu Region under the jurisdiction of the Consulate General of the Philippines in Nagoya, welcomed NPS as part of its growing network.
NPS President, Stevenson Alloso, was honored with dual roles at the assembly. Not only was he elected as a Member of the Board of Directors, but he was also appointed as one of the Executive Officers, serving as the FCCJ Auditor. This milestone marks a significant achievement for NPS, solidifying its role as an integral part of the Filipino community in Japan.
The FCCJ now boasts 18 regular member organizations across the entire Chubu Region, and NPS’s inclusion reflects its dedication to promoting cultural exchange, social welfare, and community-building among Filipinos in Japan. This partnership promises to strengthen ties within the Filipino community and enhance collaborative efforts for a brighter future.
